Beggars and Hustlers

Marrakech, Morocco's vibrant and bustling city, is a sensory overload of colors, sounds, and scents. Its medieval medina, a labyrinth of narrow alleyways, is home to the famous souks (markets) where locals and tourists converge. Let’s delve into the intriguing world of Marrakech’s beggars and the lively market scene:

    Djemaa El Fna Square:

  • All streets eventually lead to Djemaa El Fna, the legendary plaza at the heart of Marrakech.

  • Acrobats, snake charmers, fortune-tellers, and Berber musicians compete for attention here.

  • Drummers create a rhythmic beat from noon to night, while men in flowing robes offer games of chance.

  • As the sun sets, dozens of food stalls appear, serving tagine and flaky pastries to hungry travelers.
